Rocking File
The Rocking File™ is a special tool designed to check and fix the height of your guitar's frets while keeping the strings on.
Why is it called the Rocking File? It's a combination of fret leveling with strings on® and a fret rocker. The Rocking File can work on three frets at a time, making it super handy!
The Rocking File has three lengths on its rocker section to cover all the frets from low to high. It's all you need!
The best part? You can use the Rocking File Fret Checker and Leveler on the go. Its special design allows you to check, file and even test your frets while still being able to play your guitar. Talk about saving time and being precise! And don't worry about carrying it around either. It's small enough to fit in your instrument case or pocket.
How to use the Rocking File Checker and Adjuster:
A) First things first! Always make sure your frets are not loose or detached. Then, place the Rocking File rocker section vertically between the strings on the frets you want to check. Choose an edge that spans three frets. Hold it with both hands and check for any rattling, just like using a rocker. Move along, checking one set of three frets at a time until you've checked the entire fretboard.
B) If the Rocking File reveals a high fret with some rattling, roll the tool and slide the abrasive surface under the strings, placing it on top of the higher fret. Gently sand the fret and check again with the Rocking File rocker section. Oh, and don't forget to test the fret by playing it! Once the fret is nice and even, and the annoying buzz is gone, you can make it even better by crowning or refinishing it however you like.
That's it! With the Rocker File you can keep your frets in perfect shape and rock out with confidence. It's a secret weapon for a fantastic guitar-playing experience!
